Deirdre A Dunlevy

Research Fellow in Sociolinguistics, Queen's University Belfast

Deirdre Dunlevy is a Research Associate on Strand 3 of the MEITS project, which explores sociolinguistic perspectives of multilingualism, focussing particularly on issues of identity, diversity and social cohesion in Northern Ireland. Deirdre completed her BA in University College Cork, and her MPhil and PhD in Trinity College, Dublin. Her PhD research focussed on Linguistic Landscapes in border areas of the three historic autonomous communities in Spain. Her current research interests include the revitalisation of minoritised languages, language policy and Linguistic Landscapes as a method of exploring issues of identity and community.
