Deryn M. Thomas

PhD Candidate in Philosophy, University of St Andrews

I am a doctoral candidate in Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews, studying the concept of work and the role of work within social institutions. In particular, my research currently focuses on understanding the relationship between work and the collective goods required for community-building, as well as the normative implications that this relationship has for social policy.

In addition to the philosophy of work, I am interested in the social, political, and ethical questions that can be found at the intersection of work, technology, and education.
