Dòmhnall Crystal

PhD Researcher in Archaeology and Ancient History, Cardiff University

Dòmhnall is currently reading for a PhD in archaeology and ancient history at Cardiff University. His research to date has been focused on the archaeology of eastern Europe and Greece. Most recently he has been looking into conservation of communist monuments in Bulgaria, building on his current PhD research based in Bulgaria and his previous MPhil work but with a new, more modern angle.

Dòmhnall previously achieved an MPhil Cambridge University where his research focused on applying philosophical phenomenology to the analysis of Bulgarian megalithic monuments.

His interests include ethnic identity and Bulgarian and Russian socio-politics.
