Dr Ann Wardrop is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the School of Law, La Trobe University. She has published in Australian and international law journals and held visiting scholar positions in the United Kingdom, Canada and Europe. Her research interests are primarily in the area of banking and finance law and regulation and Ann's current research is focused on the regulation of financial institutions, the Australian payments system and investor/consumer protection in financial services regulation.

Ann lectures in banking and financial services law, and equity and trusts. She has also held various leadership positions within the Law School, including Director of Programs and membership of the Law School Executive.

She obtained her undergraduate law degree, graduate diploma in finance law and PhD from the University of Melbourne. Ann is admitted to the legal profession in Victoria and practised in banking and finance law in major Australian law firms prior to taking up an academic position. Ann is a director of the Banking and Financial Services Law Association, whose membership comprises Australian and New Zealand banking and finance lawyers, insolvency practitioners, and academics.
