Edward Mair

I am a PhD researcher of American history, specifically Native Americans, slavery and the presidency. Particularly, I am interested in cultural exchange between Amerindians and African Americans in the nineteenth century south, and how federal policy impacted upon these relationships. My current research is concerned with this issue among the Seminole tribe of Florida.
