Elena Gapova

Dr. Elena Gapova is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology at Western Michigan University and has been published in newspapers and magazines and on the radio in Belarus, Russia, and the United States.

Gapova is an editorial board member of Slavic Review, an editorial board member of Aspasia: The International Yearbook of central, Eastern, and Southeastern European Women's and Gender History, an academic board member for Politics and Society after Chernobyl, and a board member of International Association for Humanities.

She is the founding director of the Centre for Gender Studies for European Humanities University.
