Elisa is a Fellow in the International Politics of China in the Department of International Relations at the London School of Economics (LSE).

Elisa’s current research focuses on China-Africa relations, with a specific focus on Sino-African economic engagement in the infrastructure and mining sectors.

She previously obtained her PhD in African Studies at the University of Edinburgh as part of the ERC-funded African Governance and Space (AFRIGOS) Project, to which Elisa contributed research on the internationalisation of Chinese state-owned companies in Africa.
