I am a Junior Research Fellow at St John's College Cambridge. My PhD, 'Feeling Suicidal in England, c.1750-1850', explored the experience of suicidality in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century England. My current research project examines the treatment of international patients in British mental health asylums between 1800 and 1920.
