Associate Professor, Hannah Chair in the History of Medicine, McMaster University

Ellen Amster is a historian and the Hannah Chair in the History of Medicine at McMaster University, where she teaches in the Michael DeGroote School of Medicine and the Department of Religious Studies. With a team of PhD students, she created the History of Medicine and Medical Humanities Research Portal, with libraries, archives, museum collections, digitized images, documents, and digital exhibits, open to everyone: (https://medhumanities.mcmaster.ca). She is appointed to the Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Religious Studies.
