Emeline Brulé

I’m a Lecturer in Product Design at University of Sussex, conducting participatory research at the crossroad of sociology and technology design. During my PhD, I conducted an ethnography of the experiences of schooling of French children with visual impairments, enabling to question educational technology policies and to develop collaborative inclusive devices and activities. I also investigated youth' perceptions of wearable health technologies. My latest research focuses on class differences in how youth are allowed to use technologies in educational contexts and how changing engineering cultures and tools affect women’s careers in Silicon Valley.
