Ph.D. Candidate in Industrial and Operations Engineering, Clemson University

Emily L. Tucker, MSE is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) at the University of Michigan. In the Fall of 2020, she will join the faculty of Clemson University as an Assistant Professor. Emily received her master’s in IOE from Michigan and her BS in Industrial Engineering from NC State with a minor in Business Administration.

Emily’s research interests include the applications of operations research to societal problems including healthcare policy and supply chain resiliency. Her dissertation is focused on preventing drug shortages by studying supply chain networks under disruption. She is a recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and her dissertation work was awarded the University of Michigan Richard and Eleanor Towner Prize for Outstanding Ph.D. Research.
