Senior Lecturer, Department of Social and Policy Sciences, University of Bath

I specialise in researching the governance of public policy and public services in the UK and in the EU, and I have particular methodological expertise in qualitative comparative research. My current research focuses on the role of EU public policy governance, especially in migration, in shaping social, political and economic inequalities in Europe.

I am co-editor, with Alfio Cerami and Theo Papadopoulos, of "Migration and Welfare in the New Europe' (2011, Policy Press), and, with Regine Paul, of a special issue of 'Policy Studies' looking at migration policy in the EU. I have also authored a number of academic articles examining the governance of migration in the EU, as well as other public and social policies in the EU and the UK. With colleagues, I am currently preparing a book on governance analysis as an approach to public policy.

Until September 2014, I was mentor and budget holder on the project of Dr Thanos Maroukis, Jobs-To-Rent, which analysed the regulation and practice of temporary agency employment in Greece and the UK.

I am currently working with colleagues in Bath, Frankfurt, Soedertoern and Vienna on the project TRANSWEL (2015-2018), funded by the NORFACE programme. TRANSWEL is researching the portability of welfare of EU migrants.
