Emmanuel Kofi Gavu

Emmanuel Kofi Gavu (Dr.Ing.) is a lecturer at the Department of Land Economy, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. He obtained his PhD (Spatial Planning), MSc (Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation) and BSc (Land Economy) from KNUST, Universiteit Twente and Technische Universitaet Dortmund respectively. His main fields of teaching, research and professional interests are: application of GIS in urban management, real estate and housing markets analysis. He has published in the areas of hedonic modelling, housing market dynamics and real estate education. He presents his research at major real estate conferences and seminars around the world.

Emmanuel is a Board Member of the African Real Estate Society, Vice Chair of the Future Leaders of the African Real Estate Society, Member of Ghana Institution of Surveyors, and Member of the Society of Property Researchers, Germany. He is a three-time winner of the IREBS Foundation for African Real Research manuscript prize (2012, 2015, 2017); DAAD and Erasmus Mundus scholar; and scientific reviewer for the Journal of African Real Estate Research and AfRES conference manuscripts.
