Honorary Fellow / Clinical Psychologist, The University of Melbourne

Over the past 20 years, Dr Dolan has challenged herself to become a knowledgeable and competent clinical psychologist through education, research, employment and running a clinical practice in Warragul Victoria. In her role as clinical psychologist and clinical director of Migdala House, she provides clinical supervision, research, consultation and psychological services to individuals across the developmental life span. In addition to private practice, Dr Dolan worked for the University of Melbourne in partnership with Orygen in 2017, working on a project with Gippsland Primary Health Network surrounding the introduction of headspace in Wonthaggi. Dr Dolan then completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne with the support of Rotary scholarship. Her PhD investigated interpersonal and personal processes associated with rural-based young people supporting a peer who experienced a traumatic event. She is currently working with Batyr and the Western Sydney University conducting further research into informal youth support. Dr Dolan believes partnerships such as these are one the most effective ways to make a contribution to the mental health of rural communities that goes beyond clinical care. Dr Dolan received the 2022 Outstanding Contribution to Rural Allied Health award and was made an Honorary Fellowship with the University of Melbourne.
