Erzsebet Strausz

Assistant Professor, Department of Politics and International Studies, University of Warwick

I joined PAIS as a Teaching Fellow in September 2013. I received my PhD from Aberystwyth University, where I previously taught from 2008. My PhD project explored the politics of academic writing and sovereignty research through a creative re-reading of Michel Foucault’s work while my current research focuses on the possibility of creative transformations in the everyday practices of academic life through exploring alternative vistas of knowledge production, subject formation and social change. I am interested in the critical potentials of narrative writing, storytelling, performativity, autobiography and aesthetic practice in both research and teaching.

At PAIS I am also the departmental coordinator for the joint Modern Languages with International Studies BA Degree Scheme.
