Everisto Benyera is an Associate Professor of African Politics in the Department of Political Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in African Politics from Unisa and an MSc in International Relations from the University of Zimbabwe. Everisto researches on transitology, transitional justice, decoloniality, customary and indigenous peacebuilding, healing, and reconciliation mechanisms. He is the editor of Politeia: Journal of Political Sciences and Public Administration and Management and Associate Editor of Strategic Review for Southern Africa. He published 18 book chapters, 13 journal articles, and the following books:
