I am a former journalist for ANTARA, Indonesia's official news agency for seven years. Most of my journalistic work were related to law and politics. I studied both topics while covering the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Presidential Palace.
In 2012, I decided to focus on being an academic after completing the Master of Arts in Journalism at Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines. I later became part of a team of researchers and lecturers at the Journalism Department, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, Indonesia.
I am active in conducting a number of studies and research in the field of digital journalism, particularly related to fact checking and eradicating disinformation/misinformation. My great interest in tackling disinformation/misinformation has led me to be a part of a network of national fact-checking trainers who have been supported by the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) and the Google News Initiative (GNI) since 2018.
I am currently a PhD Candidate at the News and Media Research Centre, University of Canberra, Australia.
