I hold a B Bus Sci LLB LLM Phd from the University of Cape Town. I am an admitted attorney of the High Court and practised in the commercial field before joining academia.
My masters thesis examines legislative prohibitions of wearing a headscarf and whether they are justified. My Phd examines customary law succession through a case study in the Eastern Cape. My research interests are customary law and the implications of legal pluralism in South African law.
