Federico Oliveri is Research Fellow in Legal and Political Theory at the “Sciences for Peace” Interdisciplinary Centre, University of Pisa. His main research interests are: theories of justice and human rights applied to borders, immigration and citizenship, contemporary forms of racism and labour exploitation, legal remedies for exploited workers especially those with a migration background, migrant struggles. His last publications in English include: “Racialization and counter-racialization in the crisis: taking migrant struggles in Italy as a critical standpoint on race”, in Ethnic and Racial Studies (2018); “Freedom of movement and dignity at work: from revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt to migrant struggles in the Euro-Mediterranean space”, in Migration in the Western Mediterranean: space, mobility and borders (Routledge, 2017). He is also managing editor of “Scienza e Pace – Science and Peace”, the online and open access journal of the “Sciences for Peace” Interdisciplinary Centre and co-editor of “Scienza & Pace Magazine”.
