Fenella Somerville

Fenella Somerville recently completed a PhD in Development Studies and is currently a post-doctoral research fellow in the SARCHI Chair Higher Education and Human Development research group at the University of the Free State. Fenella is an educator and researcher with a commitment to education in South Africa and its role in transformation of both individual lives as well as society. Her research interests are in inclusive education, human development and the use of the capability approach as a framework to evaluate higher education institutions and processes. Her primary focus has been on private higher education in the South African higher education system.
