Filippo Costa Buranelli

Lecturer, International Relations, University of St Andrews

Filippo Costa Buranelli holds a PhD in International Relations in the Department of War Studies, King’s College London. He was awarded the English School Award for the Outstanding Paper presented by a Junior Scholar at the 2015 ISA Annual General Meeting. His research has been published in Millennium, the Journal of Eurasian Studies and Global Discourse. He currently has a strongly interdisciplinary focus, combining his expertise on IR theory, regionalism (particularly Central Asia), global governance and international security. He has contributed a chapter to a new book, ‘The Belt & Road Initiative in the Global Arena - Chinese and European Perspectives’, due to be published by Palgrave Macmillan this year.
