Franck Düvell is Senior Research Director at the Centre for International Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at Osnabrueck University, Germany and head of the migration department at the German Centre for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM) in Berlin. Previously, we was Associate Professor and Senior Researcher at COMPAS, where remains a research associate. He is also research associate at St SAnony's college, Oxford.

Franck has a PhD in Sociology, and was contract senior researcher at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), researcher at SEO Amsterdam and Nicolaas Witsen Foundation, research fellow at the European University Institute, Florence and the University of Exeter and lecturer in sociology, geography and political science at the University of Bremen.

For over 25 years, Franck has worked on irregular immigration, refugees, highly skilled migrants and diverse aspects of migration politics and management on national, EU and international level. He also works closely with migrants and refugee rights agencies all over Europe. Currently his projects include work on refugee migration, regional migration orders and migratory epistemology.
