Senior Lecturer in Policing, Liverpool John Moores University

Freya is a Senior Lecturer in Policing in the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies at the Liverpool John Moores University. She has 18 years experience of working in partnership with regional and national law enforcement agencies (including the Metropolitan Police Service and the National Crime Agency) to conduct research. Freya was Co-Chair the 4th International Conference for Missing Adults and Children at the University of Liverpool in 2019.

Freya's areas of research expertise include examining risk of harm whilst missing, the spatial behaviour of missing people and offenders, the attrition of modern slavery, trafficking, and exploitation cases from the criminal justice system, as well as the case linkage of sexual offences.
