I am an ecologist, who speciaises in the conservation genetics of threatened species (plants, dingoes, kangaroos, legless lizards). Glossy black cockatoo feeding ecology (the world's fussiest parrot) has become a recent research obsession, and I also have a long connection with teaching and research on K'gari (Fraser Island), including fire ecology, geomorphology/geochemistry (Coffee Rock) and the genetics of the island's iconic dingo population.
