Gail Boldt is a Professor of Education at Penn State University. She taught elementary school for several years in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Her research interests include children's affective experiences of preschool and elementary school, particularly related to race and gender; literacies studies; and disability studies. She teaches undergraduate courses in reading methods to preservice teachers and graduate courses in cultural studies theories applied to childhood and education. She is also a psychotherapist with a practice with children.
