Lecturer in Criminology, Liverpool Hope University

I am currently a lecturer in criminology at Liverpool Hope University. Before this, I worked as an academic skills tutor and as an adjunct lecturer in social sciences at the University of Huddersfield. I completed a PhD that investigated the effects of increasing immigration and evidence of high profile racism on Northern Irish Politics in 2018. Since then I have explored a selection of different avenues in my research. Broadly speaking, my research is held together with a common thread that focuses upon political extremism. This includes the reintegration of former combatants in post-conflict situations but has also considered the impact of online misinformation in driving new avenues of extremism.
