Georgia Savvidou

Georgia Savvidou is a Ph.D. candidate at the Chalmers University of Technology and a Research Associate at the Stockholm Environment Institute. Her research focuses on energy transition and the intersection between energy and sustainable development with the aim to increase knowledge about the conversion to 100% renewable electricity systems in a sustainable and resource-efficient way.

She has previously worked on development finance in developing countries for climate and energy, and the interactions between climate action and sustainable development. She has been part of the development of Aid Atlas, an online platform for visualizing international development finance flows as well as NDC-SDG Connections, an online tool that connects Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Georgia holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cyprus and an M.Sc. in Energy and Environmental Sciences from the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
