Georgios Samaras

Assistant Professor of Public Policy, King's College London

Dr Georgios Samaras is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Public Policy at the International School for Government, King’s College London.

He earned his PhD in Political Science from King’s College London, and his MA in Education Policy from the same institution. His doctoral research focused on the rise of the far-right Greek neo-Nazi party ‘Golden Dawn’, and its impact on voting behaviour.

Between 2019 and 2022, he taught politics at University College London and the London School of Economics. Additionally, Dr Samaras serves as a political adviser in Greece. He is a Fellow of the Populism Team and the Higher Education Academy of the UK.

Currently, Dr Samaras is working on his first monograph, which is set to be published in 2023.
