Giorgos Charalambous

Adjunct Lecturer, University of Cyprus

My research interests lie in the domain of comparative european politics and more specifically, the areas of political parties (ideology, organization, radical left) as well as the domestic politics of European integration (Europeanization, Euroscepticism, European elections). I am also interested in south European politics (parties, elections, institutions) .

I hold an Msc (in European Public Policy) from UCL and a BA (in Economic Studies and Government) and PhD (in Politics) from the University of Manchester. Since 2009, I have been Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Cyprus and between 2008 and 2012, I was Visiting Lecturer at Frederick University, Cyprus. Between 2011 and 2013 I was also researcher at the European University Cyprus-Research Centre, working on a project about the impact of the crisis on political behaviour in Greece and Cyprus during the 2009 European elections.Currently, I am also working as Senior Research Consultant at Peace
Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) - Cyprus Centre, undertaking research on the impact of the economic crisis on political culture and behaviour in the Republic of Cyprus.
