PhD candidate in Physics, University of Strathclyde

I'm a PhD student, part of both the Fully-Structured Light Group (FOAM) and Computational Nonlinear & Quantum Optics Group within the Department of Physics at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. In my research, I study how the use of 'twisted' light - light which carries orbital angular momentum - interacts with a Bose-Einstein condensate, which is a collection of ultracold atoms.

Before starting my PhD, I attained a BSc (Hons) in Physics from Strathclyde, with my bachelor’s research focused on modelling the dynamics of solitons produced within collisionally inhomogeneous Bose-Einstein condensates.
