Griffin Carpenter

Visiting Lecturer in Environmental Economics, Oxford Brookes University

Griffin Carpenter is an economic modeller with think tank the New Economics Foundation and a guest lecturer at Oxford Brookes University. He leads the development of the Bio-Economic Model of European Fleets (BEMEF) which is used for short-term and long-term forecasting of the European fisheries.

His research is focused on measuring the economic, social and environmental impacts of fisheries management decisions. Griffin has also contributed to various projects on climate change and energy policy, using indicators to evaluate policy success, and true cost accounting using environmentally-extended input-output modelling.
