Güneş Murat Tezcür

Güneş Murat Tezcür (Ph.D., University of Michigan, 2005) is the Jalal Talabani Chair of Kurdish Political Studies and Professor of Political Science at the School of Politics, Security, and Interntional Affairs the University of Central Florida (UCF). The Chair is the first and only of its kind in the U.S. He is primarily a scholar of political violence, identity, and movements. He also directs the Kurdish Political Studies Program at UCF and edits the Oxford Handbook of Turkish Politics. His current main research project examines the micro-dynamics of participation in mass violence.
