Professor of Political Science, Lund University

Hanna Bäck is professor of Political Science at the Department of Political Science at Lund University. Before joining the department in Lund, she was a junior professor at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). She is currently co-editor of the journal Research and Politics and she is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities. Her research for example focuses on political parties, legislative behavior, and coalition politics in parliamentary democracies. She also does research in the field of political psychology, currently focusing mainly on affective polarization, and she has a strong interest in gender and representation.
