Hannes Baumann

Hannes Baumann is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool and a visiting fellow at the LSE Middle East Centre. He is the author of "Citizen Hariri: Lebanon's Neoliberal Reconstruction" about businessman-politician Rafiq Hariri. His current research looks at the politics of Gulf investment in non-oil Arab states. He previously taught or researched at Georgetown University,King's College London, the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
