Heather Sorella

As a recent PhD graduate, I am proud of my research on the barriers and challenges mature women face when deciding to return to higher education. We often think that there are so many factors that mature women face when deciding to return to education for better career opportunities or personal growth. However, my research showed how a strong support group that encourages and believes in the mature woman provides a safety net that flourishes into self-confidence and perseverance.
