Héctor Pomares (MSc in Electrical Engineering in 1995, MSc in Physics in 1997, PhD from the University of Granada in 2000, all of them with honors) is currently a full professor at the University of Granada. He has published more than 60 articles in the most prestigious scientific journals and contributed with more than 150 papers in international conferences. He has been a visiting researcher in the University of Dortmund (Germany), University of California at Berkeley (USA), University of Texas A&M (USA), University of Applied Sciences Muenster (Germany), Technical University of Graz (Austria) and University of Amsterdam (Netherlands). At the present time, he is the director of the Doctoral Program in Information & Communication Technologies at the University of Granada.
