Postdoctoral Researcher, National Centre for Resilience, School of Interdisciplinary Studies,University of Glasgow., University of Glasgow
As part of the National Centre for Resilience (NCR), School of Interdisciplinary Studies my role is to develop and conduct research to improve Scottish communities’ resilience to natural hazards. Investigating interactions between society and pre-existing and potential future strategies to enhance a community’s ability to mitigate and recover from the effects of natural hazards.
My areas of interest include Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA), integrating social, environmental and economic assessment, Ecosystem Services and the Circular Economy. I am interested in the interactions between society and managed/engineered systems; including the potential barriers (policy, culture) to implementation of evidence based solutions to environmental problems within wider social, economic and environmental systems.
