Helen Rand

Helen Rand is a PhD candidate at the University of Essex's Department of Sociology and her thesis is Providers and ‘Punters’ of technology mediated sexual services: A sociological study of sex work in the digital age (working title). Helen has found that digital platforms offering sexual services are becoming a significant part of the ‘gig’ economy – yet those workers are being ignored when it comes to policy debates about the regulation of temporary and short-term work.
