Professor of Computer Science and Information Systems, North-West University

Hennie A Kruger obtained three master’s degrees in information systems (from the University of the Orange Free State, in 1989), in mathematical statistics (from the same university, in 1999) and in philosophy (from North-West University, in 2015). He also holds a doctorate in information systems from the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (obtained in 1994).

He worked in the information technology industry for more than twenty and has been a member of staff at the then Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (now North-West University) since 1999, where he is currently Professor of Computer Science and Information Systems.

He is the author of various journal and peer-reviewed conference proceeding papers and has supervised a number of postgraduate students in areas of operations research and information security. His research interests include decision support systems and the human aspects of information security. He is a Fellow of the Operations Research Society of South Africa.
