Henrietta Wilson

I conduct policy-relevant research on armaments and arms regulations on a freelance and employed basis, and teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules on politics and international relations at UK universities.

I am currently working with SOAS University of London, exploring open source investigations and the extent to which these can be used to track weapons worldwide. My research focuses on recent developments in digital technologies, and how these have transformed the ability of non-governmental groups to monitor risks to human security. My work raises questions about the porous boundaries between ‘open’ and ‘closed’ sources, and the conditions in which increased transparency supports global efforts to strengthen international weapons treaties and global stability.
