Ian Edelstein

Ian Edelstein holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cape Town and a Masters in Public Administration from Syracuse University. He currently works for the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families to improve evidence-based decision making. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Research Use and Impact Assessment Unit of the Human Sciences Research Council in Pretoria, South Africa. His areas of research interest include: interpersonal violence, youth development/sport-based development, programme evaluation/impact assessment, education reform, and poverty/inequality studies.
