I am investigating the reasons that people choose to start friendships and trust one another. While this might seem a trivial question there are many pressures at both a social and individual level that make us decide to engage with the social network that we do. In particular, I am interested in the role that music can play on social interaction, and how musical engagement and synchronisation of movement may have an inherent relationship with human sociality.
