Jacques Sainte-Marie is a mathematician, research director at Inria and member of the Jacques-Louis Lions Laboratory (Sorbonne University). He works on the modelling, analysis and numerical simulation of flows encountered in geophysics. His work is applied to natural and environmental hazards, energy and oceanography. He is also deputy scientific director of Inria in charge of the environment and co-pilot of the PEPR 'agroecology and ICT'.
