Jake's research explores the social and political impacts of technological change. Focusing on the increasingly reflexive relationship between digital media and the practice of political participation, Jake uses innovative research methodologies to explore networks of digital activists and identify how the combination of pervasive computing and social media are simultaneously disrupting and re-configuring processes of democratic engagement.
