PhD Student in Robotics, Queensland University of Technology

Currently I am a PhD Student and Associate Lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology, and an affiliate of the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision. My PhD topic concentrates on the challenging task of providing autonomous vehicles with the capability to localize during all environmental and lighting conditions. My research focuses on computer vision-based localization, typically for land-based mobile platforms. My approach uses standard computer-vision technologies with innovative techniques alongside domain-valid assumptions to maximise performance.

In addition to my research, I have a passion for STEM education. I ran a successful KickStarter campaign for educational robotics in 2016. In 2017 I created and produced an interactive show on autonomous car technologies and ethics which I presented to more than 1000 people.
