I'm interested in drugs, therapy and mental health. I'm particularly interested in drugs that were swept up in the 'drug war' with little consideration of whether they had a medical use - cannabis, MDMA, psilocybin, DMT etc. So I lead a research group that does clinical trials with these drugs, most often given with a form of psychotherapeutic support. As well as my research work I am a consultant psychiatrist who sees NHS and private patients. I teach on various MSc & PhD programmes here at King's.
