Associate Professor in Environmental Engineering, University of South Australia

I have a background in numerical modelling and have published numerous papers on world energy supplies and implications of "peak oil" (and peak fossil fuel energy), climate change. I have also published on the fallacy of "decoupling" energy and material consumption from economic growth. I am actively researching how to optimise urban food systems as a proactive local response to global challenges of energy scarcity and climate change.

I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of South Australia where I teach into various levels of undergraduate and postgraduate civil and environmental engineering, and environmental management.
