Jane Devenish-Meares

Jane has over 15 years experience working in the field of criminal forensic science. She has worked as a crime scene examiner, biological scientist and DNA expert, and has presented DNA evidence in courts in Tasmania, Victoria and Thailand. She has twice been seconded to the AFP to work on the identification of victims of the Bali Bombings, as well as those of the Thailand Boxing Day Tsunami.

Currently employed as a Molecular Biologist at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, identifying individuals within the coronial system, as well as undertaking disatsrer victim identification such as for the Black Saturday Bushfires..
