Janine has worked as a research fellow at the Centre of Policy Studies, first at Monash University and then at Victoria University, gaining extensive knowledge on the theory and application of large scale computable general equilibrium (CGE) models and labour market forecasting using CGE models.

From 1997- 2002 Janine worked at the Australian Bureau of Statistics. She then went on to acquire a PhD from the University of Dublin with a Thesis in “The 2003 Mid Term Review of the Common Agricultural Policy: A Computable
General Equilibrium Analysis for Ireland”.
