Jeanette Van Akkeren

Senior Lecturer in Forensic Accouning, Queensland University of Technology

Dr Jeanette Van Akkeren brings to the Faculty a background in the innovative use of information and communication technologies (ICTs). These skills have been extensively applied to the further development of QUT forensic accounting courses at both the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Her expertise in forensic accounting teaching includes forensic investigation, fraud and corporate governance and business intelligence/analytics. She has taught at Deakin University and the University of the Sunshine Coast in the areas of Information Systems Analysis and Design, Change Management, eBusiness and Project Management. Since joining QUT, her teaching focus has been solely focused on forensic accounting, business intelligence, and IT governance at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. She is also Chair of the SOA Teaching and Learning Committee.
